We had a lot of fun this week starting off our summer camps! This week's theme was The Freely Made (inspired by Abstract Expressionism). The kids made works inspired by artists such as Helen Frankenthaler, Joan Mitchell, Franz Kline, and Jackson Pollock. The kids threw paint; painted with string, marbles, and house brushes; painted to music; made India ink drawings on phone book pages; made soak-stains; painted on the floor -- and more! We also had a great time running around on our back deck and in the sprinkler. Looking forward to the weeks ahead!
